We recently installed a Solatube day lighting system in our kitchen, and I absolutely love it.  Before the Solatube, our kitchen was always so dark, that I had to turn on several under cabinet fluorescent lights and all of the overhead recessed lights just to see what I was doing.
Now that we have the Solatube system, I rarely turn any lights on during the day.  Best of all, the color is so natural.  I didn't realize how much of a color shift the fluorescent bulbs were creating, until I saw the room in sunlight.  Wow.  
And our local installers in San Antonio are awesome.  I strongly recommend Sola-Lite to anyone who's considering installing solar attic fans (we have 2 from them now) or a Solatube system.
