  1. I am NOT a Grammar Nazi.  I admit to making frequent mistakes in my own writing.
  2. When reading casually written content (blogs, e-mails, or other user-generated content), I try to maintain a holistic approach.  I will overlook linguistic shortcomings and attempt to focus on the thoughts being expressed.
  3. Sometimes the shortcomings are so severe, I wonder if Americans are losing the ability to command the English language.
Today's e-mail masterpiece:

we have  the loan house with you,  but we have a question,, we need to know whith whish bank do u work,couse we want to change  of bank,and we want to know if we cualifive  for the goberment program,we want to refinantial our house so please  soon u can pls thank you 

Do people spend so much time text-messaging and tweeting that they've forgotten how to spell, punctuate, or complete a coherent thought?
